Over time, it is a good time to maintain lighting around your home or business.Perform an annual equipment inspection program to help extend the life of the luminaire, prevent future problems and reduce associated costs. Take a look at these five simple tips:

1. Inspect the burnt LED array in the fixture or fixture and replace as needed. This is also a good time to upgrade non-LED lamps or fixtures!

2. Test sockets, dimmers and electrical connections for faulty circuits. Replace when needed.

3. Clean your fixtures! Dust and dirt buildup reduces light output (even in relatively clean environments).

4. Lubricate any moving parts. LEDs last a considerable amount of time, but it's important to ensure that their enclosures are properly maintained.

5. Check the fixture mount, the rod and the horn are stable. Tighten or replace as needed.

When performing any routine maintenance, be sure to take appropriate security measures:

*Turn off the power before replacing the lamp or luminaire to reduce the risk of electric shock.

*Use appropriate tools and safety

equipment.

*Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines.
